Pink Half Leopard Print

I've always wanted to try a leopard print design on my nails and today I finally got round to it. I found a similar design whilst browsing google images and as I also wanted to try my new pink glitter that I got for christmas I decided that do my own take on it!

First I painted each nail half white and half pink. I topped the pink with the pink iridescent glitter which I think looks really pretty. To do the leopard print all you need to do is paint several blobs (I used a fine nail art brush) and then outline them with black. The trick is to not make them too neat. Finish with a top coat but make sure they are properly dry as black smudges very easily!

Red-Gltter-Red

Barry M- Bright Red
Barry M- Diamond Glitter

First of all, sorry for the rough looking nails, I got an acrylic set for Christmas and decided to try it out today. I'm not too happy with the way they look, but, for a first time I don't think I did too bad. This is more of a 'ooh, I had a bright idea' post than a 'ooh look at my nails' post. If you are thinking of getting an acrylic set then go for it! It's actually quite simple it's one of those things that the more and more you do it, the better you will get. It's simple to create this look, just paint your nails red, coat the red in silver glitter and then coat the glitter in the red again, It creates a glittery almost marble effect on your nails and it's probably better to try it out for yourself than to look at this picture as my nails look much more gel like and glittery. This is definitely a look I would recommend I just couldn't capture it properly!

Navy With A Gold Stripe

Nails Inc-Motcomb Street
Gold Nail Art Tape
I painted my nails navy and decided to try out some nail art tape. It's just like a really thin roll of tape and you can get it in every colour imaginable from ebay, amazon etc. It's so simple, just peel the tape and place it on your nail then cut off what you need. Seal the tape in place with clear top coat.
I love this look because it's such an easy way to make a plain colour look really sophisticated!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!:) These are just some simple but pretty nails for new years shenanigans tonight! I used gold glitter on the ring finger nail (using a brush) and nails inc elizabeth street on the rest of my nails. Pots of nail glitter are really easy to get hold of on somewhere like amazon or ebay, I got mine on ebay with 20 other colours!

American nails

In October we almost made it to New York however we couldn't go because of the Hurricane:(
A few days before we were supposed to go, we found an american flag design on the internet and painted it onto each others nails, packed, matching patriotic nails and ready to go, well, we didn't. We actually look back and laugh at ourselves in disbelief I mean, what are the chances of that. Anyway, we have booked to go in February, fingers crossed!

Black Party Nails

Nails Inc-Motcomb Street
Barry M-Diamond Glitter (350)
Motcomb Street is navy but with a couple of coats looks pretty black.

This design is very simple-just paint the base colour on followed by 2 coats of the glitter polish once it's dry.
Barry M do quite a variety of glitter polishes and this one's great to jazz up your plain nails.

Red With Black/Navy Stripes

Although this polish is navy it appears almost black on this design.
To create this look paint your nails with your base colour. Then when they're dry pour a small amount of the navy polish onto a disposable surface (I used a bit of cardboard). Dampen the brush to make sure the bristles are all separated. Dip the tips of the bristles into the polish and then brush from right to left followed by left to right across the nail. To finish, apply top coat once they are completely dry to avoid smudging.
